Manage business risks and production facility activities to support the safe, reliable, and cost-efficient operation. This role involves on-call duties to cover for vacation, illness, and other absences. The position requires strong safety leadership, maintaining clean and organized work areas, daily production planning, logistics coordination, and plant operational efficiency. It also includes daily resource scheduling, training, performance management, payroll, and other human relations activities for both internal personnel and contractors. Responsibilities extend to managing production data, work orders, purchase orders, and maintenance within the plant's system (MAPS), as well as calibration and maintenance of process and product analyzers. The role assists with plant startups and shutdowns, implements predictive indicator programs for equipment, and ensures local work instructions and documentation are accurate and current. Compliance with internal and external safety, health, environmental, and quality programs, along with business continuity and emergency response, is crucial. Continuous improvement in safety, human resources, supply chain reliability, product quality, corporate and regulatory compliance, and production efficiency is expected. The role also involves managing the local Quality Management System, conducting incident investigations, audits, and completing corrective actions, as well as working on small improvement projects and optimization projects. Other responsibilities and departmental projects may be assigned.
