About The Position
The Assistant Plant Controller supports the Regional Controller in managing all plant‑level financial operations, ensuring accurate reporting, strong cost controls, and compliance within a high‑volume envelope‑manufacturing environment. This role partners closely with production, supply chain, and operations leadership to drive financial performance and operational efficiency.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business
- 5+ years of experience in manufacturing finance or cost accounting
- Strong understanding of standard costing, variance analysis, and inventory accounting
- Proficiency with JD Edwards, One Max, and Microsoft Excel
- Ability to analyze complex data and communicate insights clearly to plant leadership
- Effective communicator and collaborator with various levels of the organization
- Strong organizational skills, accuracy, and attention to detail
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced production environment and manage multiple priorities
- Continuous improvement mindset and strong problem‑solving abilities

Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze daily, weekly, and monthly plant financial reports, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
- Assist with month end close analysis
- Ensure timely payments to vendors
- Oversee inventory controls for raw materials, WIP, and finished envelopes
- Support cycle counts and reconciliations
- Support local GM with financial requests, provide daily KPIs
- Assist with annual budgets, quarterly forecasts, and financial modeling
- Partner with plant leadership to evaluate production metrics, labor utilization, scrap, and efficiency trends
- Ensure adherence to corporate policies, audit requirements, and financial controls
- Support financial processes within JD Edwards/One Max, including reporting, cost updates, and data integrity
- Identify opportunities to streamline financial workflows and strengthen operational performance
- Other duties and assignments as required.
