About The Position

This role is responsible for assisting in the planning and execution of merchandise plans to meet sales and profit objectives. The Assistant Planner will support the planning team in analyzing sales data, forecasting demand, and managing inventory levels across various product categories and channels.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Merchandising, Finance, or a related field.
• 1-2 years of experience in retail planning, allocation, or merchandising.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and advanced formulas.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with retail planning software (e.g., JDA, SAP).
• Knowledge of apparel industry trends.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the development and execution of seasonal merchandise plans.
• Analyze sales, inventory, and markdown data to identify trends and opportunities.
• Support the creation of sales forecasts and demand plans.
• Monitor inventory levels and recommend actions to optimize stock.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Merchandising, Buying, and Allocation.
• Prepare reports and presentations on key performance indicators.
• Assist in the management of product lifecycle from planning to end-of-life.
