About The Position

This position conducts medically prescribed physical therapy under the supervision of a physical therapist. The Assistant Physical Therapist provides physical therapy interventions under a plan of care written by a physical therapist, performing therapy interventions utilizing techniques and skills as appropriate for the patient population. This role also involves documenting treatment interventions and may coordinate activities of physical therapy aides, students, and other support personnel. The work location is UAB Medicine St. Vincent’s One Nineteen, with a schedule of 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday, and includes both aquatic and land-based interventions. Requirements

Currently licensed, eligible to be licensed or having a temporary license as a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) according to the rules and regulations of the Alabama Board of Physical Therapy required.
BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required.
Graduate from an accredited School of Physical Therapy Program required.
Work experience may NOT substitute for education requirement.
