The University of Washington Department of Otolaryngology–Head and Neck Surgery is seeking to hire a faculty member at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor without tenure by reason of funding (WOT). This full-time, twelve-month appointment is for a neurotologist who will contribute to excellence in clinical care, research, teaching, and service within a diverse academic community. The position is primarily based at Harborview Medical Center, a Level I adult and pediatric trauma and burn center, offering a diverse patient population with complex otologic and neurotologic disorders, including temporal bone trauma and facial nerve injuries. The candidate will join a collaborative Otology and Neurotology division across multiple UW Medicine sites and contribute to a comprehensive vestibular practice. The department has a strong research mission in hearing and balance science, supported by the Virginia Merrill Bloedel Hearing Research Center, offering opportunities for clinical, translational, or collaborative research. The role involves delivering and teaching otologic and neurotologic care, mentoring residents, and participating in scholarly activity and faculty call responsibilities. The position is structured as predominantly clinical (0.8 CFTE) with an option for a research-focused role (0.6 CFTE) for candidates with significant research aspirations.
