About The Position

The University of Washington Department of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery and the Division of Pediatric Otolaryngology at Seattle Children’s Hospital are seeking a full-time pediatric otolaryngologist with a clinical and research focus in complex airway disorders. This position is at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor without tenure by reason of funding (WOT). The role involves outpatient and surgical care, inpatient consultation and call, and the supervision and education of medical students, residents, and fellows. The successful candidate will manage children with complex airway, breathing, feeding, sleep, and swallowing conditions and collaborate with the Seattle Children’s Airway and Esophageal Center. This multidisciplinary center includes otolaryngology, pulmonology, gastroenterology, speech and language pathology, nutrition, and other pediatric surgical specialties. Seattle Children’s is a leading pediatric referral center serving Washington, Alaska, Montana, and Idaho, offering extensive clinical breadth, dedicated pediatric surgical resources, and a collaborative academic environment. The Division provides comprehensive pediatric otolaryngology care through various multidisciplinary programs. The position offers significant opportunities for collaborative research in clinical, translational, outcomes, and surgical innovation through the University of Washington and Seattle Children’s Research Institute. Requirements

  • MD (or foreign equivalent)
  • Certified or eligible for certification by the American Board of Otolaryngology
  • Completion of fellowship training program in pediatric otolaryngology
  • Eligible for a Washington State medical license
  • Background and a track record of scholarly productivity
  • For H-1B sponsorship: Graduates of foreign (non-US) medical schools must show successful completion of all three steps of the US Medical Licensing Exam (USMLE), or equivalent.

Responsibilities
