About The Position

This full-time position involves providing expert clinical care to pediatric patients with allergies or immunological diseases. The role includes both inpatient and outpatient consultations and ongoing patient monitoring. The position also requires collaboration with various specialized programs such as bone marrow transplant, pulmonology, gastroenterology, critical care, infectious diseases, and adult allergy and immunology. Faculty members are expected to participate in scholarly activities, including education, research, program development, and academic presentations. Additionally, participation in division and department faculty meetings, and potentially serving on OHSU committees, is required.

Requirements

  • Board certified or board eligible in Pediatric Immunology and Allergy.

Responsibilities

  • Provide care to pediatric patients who require expertise and treatment for diseases arising from or complicated by allergies or immunological diseases.
  • Provide leadership and subject matter expert to the Department of Pediatrics, Doernbecher Hospital and the surrounding community of pediatricians in Oregon and SW Washington.
  • Provide both inpatient and outpatient consultation and ongoing care for patients requiring monitoring.
  • Work closely with the bone marrow transplant program, pulmonology, gastroenterology, critical care, infectious diseases and adult allergy and immunology.
  • Participate in scholarly activities which include educating learners, program and curriculum development, research, and other grant supported work or academic papers and presentations in disciplines related to their field of expertise.
  • Provide clinical education to fellows, residents, and medical students.
  • Participate in faculty meetings at the division and department level.
  • Aid the division head and department chair in providing direction to the division and the department both on a day-to-day basis and as part of ongoing strategic planning.
  • Serve on OHSU committees and in other activities as directed by the department chair or division head in furtherance of division, department, or OHSU goals and objectives.
