About The Position
The Section of Endocrinology at Adams Neuroscience Center is seeking an outstanding candidate for the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor in the Academic Clinician track at Yale Medical School (YMS). The ideal candidate will possess excellent patient care and clinical teaching skills and meet the requirements for clinical privileges at Yale New Haven Hospital (YNHH). YNHH is a part of the Yale New Haven Health System (YNHHS), a network of 5 hospitals across Connecticut and Rhode Island, Yale Medicine, and the New England Medical Group. This system handles over 3.6 million outpatient encounters and over 150,000 inpatient discharges annually, offering a diverse patient population. Successful applicants will have comprehensive experience in clinical endocrinology, a desire to build a strong inpatient and ambulatory practice, and enthusiasm for practicing in a teaching setting. Academic clinicians at YMS are expected to cultivate expertise in specific disease areas and achieve regional and national recognition. Current areas of focus include diabetes and obesity, bone and mineral metabolism, lipid disorders, and endocrine neoplasia. The position includes protected time for academic development.
Requirements
- Board certified in Internal Medicine.
- Completed an Endocrinology fellowship in an ACGME-accredited program.
- BC/BE in Endocrinology.
- M.D. or D.O.
- Demonstrate outstanding skills in patient care.
- Demonstrate outstanding skills in clinical teaching.
- Meet the requirements for clinical privileges at Yale New Haven Hospital (YNHH).
- Experience in all aspects of clinical endocrinology.
- Interest in developing a robust inpatient and ambulatory practice.
- Excitement to practice in a teaching environment.
