About The Position

Join Amcor as a Manufacturing Assistant Operator and help produce high-quality packaging used around the world. Assistant Operators receive hands-on training and gain experience across multiple production areas, including Clean Room, Coating, Converting, Extrusion, Lamination, Rewind, Slitting, and Press operations. You'll work alongside experienced team members, learn advanced manufacturing processes, and build a strong foundation for long-term career growth.

Requirements

  • Ability to work a 12-hour manufacturing schedule
  • Basic computer skills and ability to learn manufacturing systems
  • Ability to perform basic math, measurement, and reading tasks
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Ability to perform visual inspections and distinguish colors
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Commitment to safety and following established procedures
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks including climbing, crouching, and reaching

  • Previous manufacturing experience
  • Experience working in a fast-paced production environment

  • Knowledge of quality inspections, measurements, and manufacturing processes

Responsibilities

  • Assist Machine Operators with daily production activities
  • Learn machine operation and serve as a backup operator when needed
  • Load raw materials and unload finished product from equipment
  • Band and prepare return stock, empty cores, headers, startup rolls, and finished rolls
  • Change and clean machine components as required
  • Assist with machine setups, adjustments, and production changeovers
  • Perform daily and weekly housekeeping to maintain a clean and safe work environment
  • Support quality inspections and production documentation requirements
  • Follow all safety, quality, and operating procedures
  • Work collaboratively with operators, leads, and supervisors to achieve production goals
  • Cross-train in multiple departments and manufacturing processes
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
