About The Position

This position is for a 3rd shift Assistant Operator responsible for operating a load former, understanding stacking patterns, and forming finished units at a fast pace. The role involves conducting quality inspections, producing quality boxes, and adhering to customer requirements by reading factory work orders and print cards. The operator will identify stock and products, perform duties to meet production needs, assist other employees, and accurately use measurement tools. Responsibilities also include inspecting, counting, stacking, and unitizing products, identifying and segregating nonconforming products, and maintaining work areas to plant standards. Teamwork and performing other assigned duties are also key aspects of this role.

Requirements

Moving up to 50 lbs.
Pushing stacks of corrugated sheets
Standing for 8 hours
Accurately using tape measures and other measurement and test equipment

Responsibilities

Following all safety rules and practices
Operation of load former and understands all different stacking patterns
Able to identify and use approved dunnage
Forming finished units at a fast pace
Conduct quality inspections
Responsible for producing quality boxes
Reading factory work orders, print cards, and other documentation to learn customer requirements
Identifying stock and products that correspond to work orders
Performing assigned duties to insure that production needs are met
Assisting other employees as needed
Accurately using tape measures and other measurement and test equipment
Inspecting, counting, stacking, and unitizing products according to customer specifications
Identifying and segregating nonconforming (reject) products and materials
Maintaining work areas to plant standards of housekeeping and machine cleanness
Maintaining teamwork with machine crews and other employees
Performing all other duties as needed assigned by the supervisor
