About The Position

Novipax is seeking an Assistant Operator to join their team. This role involves supporting the main operator in setting up and running production lines, ensuring quality standards are met, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment. The Assistant Operator will learn various aspects of the operation and may be required to perform operator duties in their absence. Requirements

Ability to take instructions from the operator.
Ability to inspect work in process for quality standards.
Ability to continuously clean machines, floors, and work areas.
Ability to unload, load, and feed raw materials into the machine.
Ability to maintain cleanliness and proper levels of adhesive in the hot melt glue tank.
Ability to learn new tasks and responsibilities.
Ability to operate Job Cranes and Forklifts safely.
Must wear safety equipment and obey safety rules.

Experience performing operator duties.

Responsibilities

Set up and change over production lines, including setting slitters, separators, adjusting hammer mill doors, and adjusting the die head.
Supply rolls to Fan Fold lines and wrap rolls when the line is running Roll-Stock.
Wrap pallets for material handlers.
Clean work areas at the end of the shift.
Take instructions from the operator and perform incidental tasks.
Inspect work in process for quality standards and report deficiencies to the operator.
Continuously clean machines, floors, and work areas.
Unload, load, and feed raw materials into the machine.
Assist the QA Packer as needed.
Maintain cleanliness and proper levels of adhesive in the hot melt glue tank.
Learn all aspects of the operator role to satisfy requirements.
Perform operator duties in the Dri Loc operator's absence.
Operate Job Cranes and Forklifts safely.
Wear safety equipment and obey safety rules.
Satisfy production requirements.
May work in other areas throughout the plant.
Perform other duties as assigned.
