About The Position

This is an hourly position with growth potential! You will be responsible for all activities associated with assisting to operate production machines. This includes setup, operation, clean-up, quality checks and recommending improvements to operations.

Requirements

High School Diploma/GED
Able to read and follow instructions on factory masters.
Able to read a tape measure with speed and accuracy.
Able to calculate figures and amounts such as percentages, measurement, volume and rate.
Able to apply concepts of high school math.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or graphic form.
Ability to deal with problems involving one or more concrete variables in standardized situations.
Working knowledge of Equipment design and capabilities that can be translated into efficient operation.
Working knowledge of Product layouts and production specifications.
Working knowledge of Product quality specifications.
Regularly required to stand, walk, and talk or hear.
Frequently required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
Occasionally required to sit.
Must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Nice To Haves

6 consecutive months experience in some type of manufacturing operation, preferred.
May be required to maintain a current Lift Truck Operator License.

Responsibilities

Will be responsible for assisting the operation the machinery at maximum capacity and speed.
Work diligently to improve set up times and downtime daily.
Identify and address mechanical concerns and report to supervisor.
Work at a fast-pace set by the machine operator in order to adhere to production schedule.
Continue to learn operation of the machine, downtime, setup times and quality of product.
Assist with completing necessary reports in an accurate and timely manner.
In accordance with proper techniques, assist in the set-up slotting, feed, and die cut sections on machine accurately.
Monitor board quality for any defects and make adjustments when necessary.
Willingness to move up the line of progression and cross-train on other machines.
Comply with all company policies and procedures, including safety and maintain good housekeeping.
