About The Position

This is an hourly position with growth potential! You will be responsible for all activities associated with assisting to operate production machines. This includes setup, operation, clean-up, quality checks and recommending improvements to operations.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Able to read and follow instructions on factory masters.
  • Able to read a tape measure with speed and accuracy.
  • Able to calculate figures and amounts such as percentages, measurement, volume and rate.
  • Able to apply concepts of high school math.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or graphic form.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving one or more concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Working knowledge of Equipment design and capabilities that can be translated into efficient operation.
  • Working knowledge of Product layouts and production specifications.
  • Working knowledge of Product quality specifications.
  • Regularly required to stand, walk, and talk or hear.
  • Frequently required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • Occasionally required to sit.
  • Must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Nice To Haves

  • 6 consecutive months experience in some type of manufacturing operation, preferred.
  • May be required to maintain a current Lift Truck Operator License.

Responsibilities

  • Will be responsible for assisting the operation the machinery at maximum capacity and speed.
  • Work diligently to improve set up times and downtime daily.
  • Identify and address mechanical concerns and report to supervisor.
  • Work at a fast-pace set by the machine operator in order to adhere to production schedule.
  • Continue to learn operation of the machine, downtime, setup times and quality of product.
  • Assist with completing necessary reports in an accurate and timely manner.
  • In accordance with proper techniques, assist in the set-up slotting, feed, and die cut sections on machine accurately.
  • Monitor board quality for any defects and make adjustments when necessary.
  • Willingness to move up the line of progression and cross-train on other machines.
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures, including safety and maintain good housekeeping.
