About The Position

The Assistant Operator will assist the Operator in setting up and running production lines to meet quality and efficiency standards. This role involves operating forklifts, performing quality checks, minimizing scrap, supporting maintenance and housekeeping, and ensuring safety compliance. Collaboration with team members and support for the Maintenance Team are also key aspects of this position.

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience required.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and basic math skills.
• Ability to read a tape measure and document quality data.
• Forklift and industrial vehicle operation experience.
• Safety-conscious mindset and ability to follow standardized work instructions.

Nice To Haves

• Prior manufacturing or warehouse experience preferred.
• Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Operator in setting up and running production lines to meet quality and efficiency standards.
• Help assist the Operator during die changes.
• Operate forklifts and other powered industrial vehicles to stage materials and supplies.
• Perform quality checks including length/width, vacuum tests, and micrometer readings.
• Help minimize scrap and maximize material recovery.
• Support minor maintenance tasks and housekeeping duties.
• Ensure compliance with safety procedures and PPE requirements.
• Collaborate with team members across shifts for smooth transitions.
• Assist with troubleshooting and support the Maintenance Team when needed.
