About The Position

This position is responsible for meeting the goals and objectives of the organization by operating and maintaining press machinery used in the manufacturing process, in addition to, ensuring compliance with all safety and quality standards. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job function satisfactorily. Requirements

Ability to perform each essential job function satisfactorily.
Ability to safely set up, operate, and monitor press machinery and equipment.
Ability to complete press machine setup, including loading materials, adjusting settings, and calibrating equipment.
Ability to monitor the production process, inspect and test materials and equipment.
Ability to verify and track all materials for inventory and work in progress regulations.
Ability to troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and perform routine maintenance.
Ability to train and provide guidance to machine assistants and new crew members.
Ability to keep machinery and surrounding areas organized.
Ability to adhere to all safety guidelines and procedures.
Ability to wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
Ability to report any safety hazards or concerns.
Ability to complete all necessary documentation.
Ability to work effectively with other departments or team members.

Responsibilities

Safely sets up, operates, and monitors press machinery and equipment as intended and needed to meet customer and production goals.
Completes press machine setup for production runs, including loading materials, adjusting settings, and calibrating equipment to ensure proper operation.
Monitors the production process, inspects and tests materials and equipment using safe and proper protocols, to ensure products meet quality standards and production quotas are met.
Verifies and tracks all materials for inventory and work in progress regulations.
Troubleshoots equipment malfunctions and perform routine maintenance tasks to keep machinery operating efficiently.
Trains and provides guidance to machine assistants and new crew members.
Keeps machinery and surrounding areas organized by meeting housekeeping, storage, staging, and cleanliness requirements.
Adhere to all safety guidelines and procedures, to prevent accidents or injuries.
Wear appropriate personal protective equipment(PPE) as required by safety policies and reports any safety hazards or concerns to the appropriate team member.
Completes all necessary documentation for internal or external use.
Effectively works with other departments or team members, such as machine technicians, supervisors, and quality control inspectors, to coordinate production activities and address any potential issues as they arise.
