About The Position

This role is for an Assistant Operator on the 2nd shift in a manufacturing operation. The primary goal is to support the team in increasing productivity, decreasing downtime, and reducing waste. The Assistant Operator will receive and follow directions from the Operator and/or Supervisor, assist with machine setup, including mounting printing and cutting dies, making ink adjustments, and ensuring quality checks are performed throughout the production process. The role also involves inspecting the machine during operation, notifying the Operator when quality issues arise, assisting with equipment cleanup, adhering to safety and lock-out tag-out procedures, and maintaining the shop and equipment according to 5S Standards. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

• High School Graduate or GED.
• Passionate about maintaining a safe work environment.
• Ability to stack parts up to 30 lbs. for a period of up to 12 hours.
• Ability to work overtime and weekends, as needed.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Work as part of a team in support of a manufacturing operation with a goal of increasing productivity; decreasing downtime and waste.
• Receive and follow directions from the Operator and/or Supervisor.
• Assist machine operator to set up orders, mount printing and cutting dies, ink adjustments, and ensure quality checks are performed before, during and upon completion of each order.
• Inspect machine during run and notify Operator when acceptable parts are not being produced.
• Assist in cleanup of equipment.
• Follow all company safety rules and lock-out tag-out procedures.
• Maintain shop and shop equipment per 5S Standards.
• Other duties as assigned.
