About The Position

The Assistant Operations Manager supports the Operations Manager in overseeing the daily operations of a high-end, elevated dining restaurant. This role plays a critical part in ensuring exceptional guest experiences, maintaining refined service standards, and driving operational efficiency. The Assistant Operations Manager is a hands-on leader who helps execute service excellence, supports team development, and ensures consistency across all aspects of the restaurant.

Requirements

  • 1–3 years of restaurant or hospitality supervisory or management experience, preferably in an upscale or high-volume environment
  • Strong knowledge of food, beverage, wine, and service standards
  • Demonstrated leadership ability with a hands-on, team-oriented approach
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-expectation environment
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays

Responsibilities

  • Assist in managing all front-of-house and back-of-house operations to ensure smooth and efficient service execution
  • Act as Manager on Duty in the absence of the Operations Manager, maintaining full operational oversight
  • Support daily opening and closing procedures, ensuring readiness and adherence to standards
  • Ensure compliance with brand standards, policies, and procedures
  • Lead by example in delivering exceptional, personalized guest service
  • Proactively engage with guests to enhance their dining experience and build loyalty
  • Address guest concerns promptly and professionally, escalating when necessary
  • Monitor guest feedback and assist in implementing service improvements
  • Supervise and support supervisors and hourly associates during service
  • Assist in training, coaching, and mentoring team members to uphold elevated service standards
  • Reinforce a culture of accountability, professionalism, and hospitality excellence
  • Participate in pre-shift meetings and ongoing training initiatives
  • Ensure adherence to all health, safety, and sanitation regulations
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness, organization, and facility upkeep
  • Support inventory management, ordering processes, and proper product handling
  • Ensure consistency in service, food presentation, and overall ambiance
  • Partner with culinary leadership to maintain seamless communication between front and back of house
  • Monitor service flow and make real-time adjustments to optimize efficiency
