The Assistant Nurse Operations Manager (ANOM) is responsible for the management of their designated unit/department, including nursing practice and administrative oversight of the area. In conjunction with the Unit/Department Nursing Operations Manager, the ANOM provides guidance and direction on all aspects of unit operations including customer experience, budgetary performance, human resources activities, shared leadership, and quality outcomes. Orlando Health’s Interventional Radiology (IR) Department uses advanced imaging technologies—including X-ray, CT, and ultrasound—to perform minimally invasive procedures that offer patients shorter recovery times and fewer complications compared to traditional surgery. The IR team specializes in procedures such as feeding and drainage tube placement, neuro-interventional services, venous access (ports, tunneled lines), tumor ablations, biopsies, and a wide range of diagnostic and therapeutic interventions. Their expertise also includes embolization for emergent trauma patients and stroke intervention (thrombectomy).
