Ambulatory-Primary Care at Manhattan Square Family Medicine- Assistant Nurse Manager
About The Position
The University of Rochester is seeking an Assistant Nurse Manager (ANM) for its Manhattan Square Family Medicine office. This full-time position involves supporting leadership in the operational oversight of the clinic, implementing and maintaining department initiatives, delivering clinical care, upholding standards of practice, and evaluating/creating policies. The ANM will share clinical oversight of Ambulatory Technicians, LPNs, and RNs, and must model excellent customer service and communication skills. Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing
- 3 years of Nursing experience in an acute care setting required.
Responsibilities
- Supports standards of care and provides consultation and expertise in the delivery of patient care in an outpatient setting.
- Supports activities at the service, nursing practice, and institutional level.
- Contributes to goal achievement through personal action and facilitation of others.
- Participates in community and professional organizations, demonstrating commitment to the promotion of nursing's visibility and future.
- Provides expert patient care, serves as a resource, consults as requested, and communicates effectively within the unit and service.
- Participates in the management of human resources.
- Participates in the development and evaluation of recruitment and retention strategies.
- Monitors patient outcomes.
- May have responsibilities at the unit, program or service level and may assume an expanded role as assigned by leadership.
- Supports current leadership in the operational oversight of the clinic.
- Implements/maintains department initiatives.
- Delivers clinical care.
- Maintains standards of practice.
- Evaluates current and assists in creating new policies.
- Includes shared clinical oversight of Ambulatory Technicians, LPNs and RNs.
- Must model customer service excellence and have excellent communication skills.
