About The Position

The University of Rochester is seeking an Assistant Nurse Manager (ANM) for its Manhattan Square Family Medicine office. This full-time position involves supporting leadership in the operational oversight of the clinic, implementing and maintaining department initiatives, delivering clinical care, upholding standards of practice, and evaluating/creating policies. The ANM will share clinical oversight of Ambulatory Technicians, LPNs, and RNs, and must model excellent customer service and communication skills. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in nursing
  • 3 years of Nursing experience in an acute care setting required.

Responsibilities

  • Supports standards of care and provides consultation and expertise in the delivery of patient care in an outpatient setting.
  • Supports activities at the service, nursing practice, and institutional level.
  • Contributes to goal achievement through personal action and facilitation of others.
  • Participates in community and professional organizations, demonstrating commitment to the promotion of nursing's visibility and future.
  • Provides expert patient care, serves as a resource, consults as requested, and communicates effectively within the unit and service.
  • Participates in the management of human resources.
  • Participates in the development and evaluation of recruitment and retention strategies.
  • Monitors patient outcomes.
  • May have responsibilities at the unit, program or service level and may assume an expanded role as assigned by leadership.
  • Supports current leadership in the operational oversight of the clinic.
  • Implements/maintains department initiatives.
  • Delivers clinical care.
  • Maintains standards of practice.
  • Evaluates current and assists in creating new policies.
