About The Position

Emory Healthcare is seeking a capable Assistant Manager, Nursing, with broad experience in patient care and a sound understanding of a specific patient population. The Assistant Nurse Manager plays a key leadership role in the Leadership Team, overseeing daily clinical and operational functions to ensure seamless patient care. This role demands a dynamic leader capable of managing both clinical excellence and operational performance, prioritizing patient care. The Assistant Nurse Manager will lead staff, drive clinical practice development, manage patient care delivery, and be accountable for team performance, quality, safety, compliance, financials, throughput, workflow, and scheduling. Reporting to the Nurse Manager, this role involves developing, implementing, and evaluating systems for high-quality, cost-effective, and safe care.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN) required
A minimum of (3) years of professional nursing practice experience in acute and/or ambulatory care nursing practice setting
1 year of lead, supervisory, management, and/or leadership experience in nursing and/or health system position/role.
A valid, unencumbered Registered Nursing License approved by the Georgia Board of Nursing.
If managing remote clinical care team members, active compact/multistate license (eNLC) within 60 days of hire.
BLS required
Proven leadership skills in a clinical setting, with experience in nursing practice oversight and team management.
In-depth knowledge of quality assurance, performance management, and regulatory compliance.
Ability to create a positive, inclusive workplace and foster professional development.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to resolve technical and operational challenges.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals.

Nice To Haves

Master's of Science in Nursing (MSN) or related field preferred.
A minimum of (3) years of professional nursing practice experience in acute and/or ambulatory care nursing practice setting with 2 years of lead, supervisory, management, and/or leadership experience in nursing and/or health systems position/role in a complex academic health system preferred.
