About The Position

The Assistant Nurse Manager for the Flex Pool team works under the direction of a nurse manager or other nursing leader. The role is responsible for effectively implementing the philosophy, goals, policies, and procedures of the hospital and nursing department, and for their effect on patient care. The Flex Program includes nurses who float among multiple hospital sites within the same type of unit.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing or MSN from an accredited school.
• Two years of recent related RN experience.
• Active RN license in the State of Michigan.
• Current BLS certification through the American Red Cross, American Heart Association, or Canadian Heart and Stroke Foundation.

Nice To Haves

• Participation in leadership activities, such as Unit, hospital, or system Shared Governance meetings, precepting, or serving as a charge nurse.
