About The Position

The Assistant Nurse Manager, Outpatient, in an outpatient setting, supports standards of care and provides consultation and expertise in the delivery of patient care. This role supports activities at the service, nursing practice, and institutional level, and contributes to goal achievement through personal action and the facilitation of others. They participate in community and professional organizations, demonstrating commitment to the promotion of nursing's visibility and future. The Assistant Nurse Manager provides expert patient care, serves as a resource, consults as requested, and communicates effectively within the unit and service. They also participate in the management of human resources, the development and evaluation of recruitment and retention strategies, and the monitoring of patient outcomes. This role may have responsibilities at the unit, program, or service level and may assume an expanded role as assigned by leadership. This is a dynamic leadership position that will work collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team in a Multi-Specialty Office Building in Batavia, NY. The assistant nurse manager will work across multiple ambulatory care specialties including but not limited to urology, primary care, neurosurgery, neurology, allergy and immunology, audiology, ENT/OTO, and medical oncology. Additional leadership responsibilities will include patient and staff scheduling, patient and staff education, orientation, safety and process improvement initiatives and planning based on department needs.
