About The Position

Assistant Coaches are responsible for helping head coaches organize and direct an athletic activity consistent with generally accepted aims of sports in an educational setting. This role requires an understanding of the rules and regulations of wrestling, adherence to district policies, and the ability to assist in coaching and discipline.

Requirements

• Washington State Background Check
• Fingerprint Check
• High School Diploma/Transcripts
• Compliance with all District rules and regulations
• Valid first aid/CPR card

Nice To Haves

• Attend clinics and workshops to stay abreast of rules, rule changes, current sport knowledge, and techniques.

Responsibilities

• Help head coaches organize and direct athletic activities.
• Understand and apply rules and regulations of wrestling as presented in the WIAA Handbook and District policy.
• Stay informed about rule changes, current sport knowledge, and techniques.
• Assist the head coach in carrying out their duties.
• Apply discipline in a firm and positive manner under the head coach's established guidelines.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Head Coach and/or Principal(s).
