About The Position
Propel Schools is seeking an Assistant Middle School Track Coach for the 26-27 season, which begins this spring. This role will support the Middle School's track program at various locations including Propel Braddock Hills Middle School, Propel East, Propel Hazelwood, Propel Montour Middle School, and Propel Homestead. The position involves working with the head coach, athletic director, and other coaching staff to develop the program.
Requirements
- Prior high school, middle school, and/or youth track coaching experience
- Must possess knowledge of rules, regulations, strategies, and techniques of the sport
- High level of personal organization and planning
- Strong communication and relationship building skills
- Willingness to participate in ongoing professional development
- A commitment to the Propel Habits
- Up-to-date TB Test
- Act 34 Criminal Clearance
- Act 114 FBI Clearance
- Act 151 Child Abuse Clearance
- Mandated Reporter Training
Nice To Haves
- Student-athlete experience on the high school and/or intercollegiate level
- Prior middle school coaching experience
- USATF certification
Responsibilities
- Responsibility for assembling coaching staff
- Responsibility for supporting the Middle School's track program with the head coach, athletic director and other coaching staff
Benefits
- Seasonal stipend of $1,000 (prorated for coaches who begin after the official start of the season)
