About The Position

Durham Academy is seeking a part-time Assistant Middle School Girls Volleyball Coach for the season, which runs from mid-August through mid-October. This role involves assisting in the instruction of the MS “B” volleyball team, including tryouts, team selection, practice planning and execution, and game strategy. The coach will also be responsible for distributing equipment and uniforms, explaining rules, supervising student-athletes, and driving a mini-bus for road games. Regular communication and teamwork with other coaches are essential.

Responsibilities

• Assists in the instruction of the MS “B” volleyball team, including tryouts and team selection.

• Distributing equipment and uniforms in conjunction with the MS Athletics Coordinator.
• Explaining rules and regulations.
• Assists with supervising student-athletes.
• Responsible for driving a mini-bus to all road games.
• Regular communication and teamwork with the other MS volleyball coaches as well as Varsity program head coach.
