About The Position

The Assistant Merchandiser for Women's Apparel will play a crucial role in supporting the merchandising team to develop and execute product strategies that align with brand objectives and market trends. This position involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful launch and management of women's apparel collections.

Requirements

  • 1-2 years of experience in Merchandising, Buying, or Product Development (internship experience considered).
  • Bachelor's Degree in Merchandising, Business, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and trends.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong organizational and teamwork skills
  • Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, balancing multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • General understanding of retail math
  • Customer-Focused Mindset: Demonstrated interest in understanding the consumer and how product decisions impact customer experience and performance.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the development and execution of seasonal product strategies that align with brand direction and consumer needs.
  • Support the creation and maintenance of line plans, ensuring they meet financial targets and market demands.
  • Create and maintain market tools, assortment guides, and internal presentations to support sales, retail, and cross-functional partners.
  • Assist in managing the merchandising calendar, ensuring adherence to key deadlines and deliverables.
  • Support sample management, including tracking, reviewing, and providing feedback to facilitate timely product updates.
  • Communicate updates and changes to the line across cross-functional teams.
  • Maintain product attributes across systems on a seasonal basis.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners, including Design, Product Development, Supply Chain, and Sales, to support cohesive execution.
  • Conduct competitive research to stay informed on market trends and evolving consumer preferences.
  • Analyze sales data, market trends, and consumer insights to inform merchandising decisions and identify opportunities for growth.
  • Assist in supporting merchandising needs across various markets, gaining exposure to regional differences and customer preferences.
