About The Position

Lasell University invites applications for the part-time position of Assistant Men’s Soccer Coach. Lasell University is a member of the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) and the NCAA Division III offering 19 varsity sports (9 for men and 10 for women). Lasell University’s 50-acre campus is located in Newton, MA, a community located ten miles west of Boston. The co-educational institution, offering professionally oriented baccalaureate and master’s degree programs, has an enrollment of 1600 full-time undergraduate students. The Assistant Coach will report to the Head Men’s Soccer Coach.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree.
• Knowledge and compliance with NCAA Division III rules required.
• Demonstrate a commitment to the developmental education of student-athletes.
• Strong work ethic.
• Organizational skills.
• Computer skills.
• Ability to interact professionally within the department, the campus, and the community.

Nice To Haves

• Previous coaching and/or experience at the collegiate level is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with all facets of administering a competitive NCAA Division III Men’s Soccer program with a special emphasis on recruitment of appropriate student athletes.
• Assist with practice and game preparation.
• Assist with academic support.
• Assist with fundraising and insuring the general welfare of the student-athlete.
• Adhere to all NCAA Division III philosophies and regulations at all times.
