About The Position
The Assistant Men’s Basketball Coach is responsible for assisting in the oversight and coordination of the men’s basketball program. The Assistant Men’s Basketball Coach is sensitive to the needs of a diverse student body and is committed to assisting the Department of Athletics in enhancing and supporting the student development experience consistent with the mission of a Sinsinawa Dominican Catholic liberal arts university.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Previous coaching experience required, collegiate coaching experience preferred
- Familiarity with NCAA Division III Rules and Regulations
- Experience and competence in various computer applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, etc
- Strong organizational and written skills
- Ability to work evenings and weekends

Responsibilities
- Adhere to NCAA, conference, and Dominican University rules and regulations.
- Identify and recruit academically and athletically qualified candidates to maintain the roster range.
- Assist in managing the operating budget and agency account for the program.
- Contribute to the development of a competitive schedule.
- Monitor and support the academic performance of student-athletes.
- Coordinate team travel and meal arrangements.
- Collaborate with the Athletics Business Manager to meet team transportation needs.
- Assist with the purchase, distribution, collection, and inventory of team uniforms, equipment, and supplies.
- Updating, educating staff, and overseeing the compliance of the Department of Athletics camp manual.
- Support team fundraising efforts.
- Assist in developing, coordinating and growing the Department of Athletics camps and recreational programming.
- Serving as the liaison to surrounding communities for camps/clinics.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.
