About The Position

The University of Sioux Falls invites applications for a full-time, benefits-eligible Assistant Men's and Women's Cross-Country Coach/Assistant Track and Field Coach (12 months). USF is a member of the NCAA Division II and the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference. The Assistant Men's and Women's Cross-Country Coach/Assistant Track and Field Coach is a full-time position and reports to the Head Coach Track & Field/Cross Country Coach and Director of Athletics. The successful applicant will assist with all aspects of running a DII collegiate track and field program. This position is responsible for all aspects of the cross-country program, including practice and competition planning, recruiting, student-athlete development, roster management, assist with budget oversight, scheduling, travel coordination, and equipment management. As a member of the track and field coaching staff, the Assistant Coach is responsible for coaching assigned event groups, assisting with meet operations, recruiting prospective student-athletes, and contributing to the overall success of the track and field program. This position fosters an environment that promotes competitive excellence, academic achievement, leadership, sportsmanship, and the holistic development of student-athletes. The position ensures compliance with all institutional, conference, and National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) rules and regulations while supporting the mission, vision, and strategic goals of the university and athletics department.

  • Ability to work effectively in a Christian higher education institution.
  • Abide by all NCAA DII, Northern Sun Conference, and University policies.
  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Ability to successfully pass a background check.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
