About The Position
Join TeamHealth as assistant medical director at Baptist Memorial Hospital - Memphis in Memphis, Tennessee. The hospital medicine AMD supports the HM director in leading the hospitalist program and ensuring the delivery of safe, high-quality, patient-centered inpatient care. This role combines clinical practice with leadership responsibilities focused on operations, quality improvement, physician engagement, and care coordination.
Requirements
- Previous physician leadership experience
- Experience with quality improvement, throughput, and healthcare operations
Responsibilities
- Provide direct inpatient care as a practicing hospitalist
- Assist in overseeing daily hospital medicine operations and clinician scheduling
- Support quality, patient safety, and performance improvement initiatives
- Mentor and support hospitalists and advanced practice clinicians
- Collaborate with nursing, case management, and medical staff leadership to improve patient outcomes and operational efficiency
- Participate in recruitment, onboarding, and clinician performance management
