About The Position

St. Vincent’s Behavioral Health Services, part of Hartford Healthcare’s Fairfield region and a teaching hospital for Quinnipiac University’s Frank H. Netter MD School of Medicine, is seeking a Psychiatrist to serve as Assistant Medical Director and Medical Director for their geriatric psychiatry inpatient service. The role involves patient care, resident supervision, and medical student teaching within a collegial faculty group. The position offers academic appointment opportunities through the medical school. The service line includes multiple clinical sites: a 76-bed inpatient psychiatric service in Westport, comprehensive services including a 10-bed geriatric and medically complex psychiatric unit at the main Medical Center in Bridgeport, and outpatient services in Norwalk. Requirements

• BE / BC Adult Psychiatrist
• Committed to resident and medical student education

Nice To Haves

• Completed a geriatric psychiatry fellowship
• Experience treating older adult and medically complex patients

Responsibilities

• Provide the highest quality of psychiatric and substance use treatment to an elderly and medically complex patient population.
• Serve as the clinical leader for the multidisciplinary treatment team.
• Participate in patient care.
• Participate in resident supervision.
• Participate in medical student teaching.
