About The Position
Wausau Country Club, located in Schofield, WI, is pleased to announce an excellent career opportunity for a full-time Assistant Mechanic! We are seeking a motivated individual who is interested in contributing to a positive experience for our members and guests while continuing to grow their knowledge of golf club operations. Requirements
- Must be a self-starter with a strong work ethic.
- Desire to learn the intricacies of golf equipment.
- General knowledge of mechanical maintenance strongly preferred.
- Keeping a clean shop and work area is a priority.
- Knowledge of basic tool safety and proper usage.
Responsibilities
- Performs regular inspection of mowing equipment to ensure proper height of cut and cut quality.
- Performs routine oil changes on all equipment and carts.
- Performs tire repair and installation.
- Follows established protocols for preventive maintenance programs.
- Assists with on-course projects as needed.
- Regular and timely attendance.
- Assists with snow removal during winter.
- Trains new employees on proper equipment care.
- Maintains repair records for each machine.
