About The Position

Trane Technologies is hiring an Assistant Material Planner in Clarksville TN. The Assistant Material Planner is responsible for the accuracy of material supply plan and customer expedite process. In this role, you will coordinate with internal and external suppliers on past due purchase orders and updates purchase orders in order to maintain a timely and accurate supply plan; you will serve as initial escalation point for customer expedites and provide timely and accurate disposition to these requests.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing, quality control, and planning processes.
  • Microsoft office suite experience a plus
  • Ability to understand manufacturing engineering processes and to interpret blueprints.
  • Must possess good mathematical skills and the ability to communicate orally and in writing.
  • ERP system experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Support the purchased material planning process and to provide daily planning support to production and management.
  • Maintain accurate purchase order data and accurate supply plan within ERP system.
  • Modify order release due dates, quantities and close purchase orders based on demand plan.
  • Conduct initial supplier coordination for customer expedite requests.
  • Maintain accurate and timely communication with all effected parties and escalate as appropriate.
  • Monitor supplier delivery performance.
  • Conduct initial resolution of suppliers past due supply and supplier delivery issues to ensure accurate supply plan is maintained.
  • Work with suppliers to expedite or defer materials as dictated by changes in internal and external customer requirements and to meet production and inventory goals.
  • Conduct problem solving (9SPS / A3) and participate in facility RIE’s as directed by team leader or site material management leadership.
  • Collect information, compile into standard formats, prepare monthly reports and other management reports as requires.
