About The Position

The Assistant Manager is responsible for delivering exceptional customer service while supporting all aspects of store operations. This role oversees the day-to-day activities of retail associates, helps maintain operational excellence, and supports the achievement of business goals. The Assistant Manager serves as a knowledgeable brand ambassador, fosters a positive team culture, and exercises sound decision-making to ensure an outstanding guest experience. This position also assists with daily operational responsibilities as needed.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Minimum of 2 years of leadership or supervisory experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years of retail, rental, or related customer service experience.
  • Demonstrated passion for employee development, coaching, and team success.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive and professional demeanor.
  • Commitment to delivering exceptional customer service and guest experiences.
  • At least 18 years of age.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with retail or rental point-of-sale (POS) systems preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and support a team of 2 to 10 employees.
  • Provide regular coaching, feedback, and performance guidance to team members.
  • Develop, implement, and track employee training plans.
  • Ensure the department is adequately staffed and stocked with necessary supplies and resources.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and engaging work environment that promotes teamwork and accountability.
  • Protect company assets through inventory control and loss prevention practices.
  • Manage inventory levels for retail and rental products.
  • Communicate operational updates, opportunities, and concerns to Store and Regional Managers.
  • Assist with managing operational budgets and payroll processes.
  • Maintain current knowledge of industry trends, products, and services, and demonstrate expertise to guests and team members.
  • Complete administrative and reporting responsibilities accurately and on time.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
