Requirements

  • Ability to comprehend and give correct written instructions.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately and quickly (may use calculator).
  • Must be able to make correct monetary change.
  • Verbal, writing, and telephone skills to take and process orders.
  • Motor coordination between eyes and hands/fingers to rapidly and accurately make precise movements with speed.
  • Standing: Most tasks are performed from a standing position.
  • Walking: For short distances for short durations.
  • Lifting: Bulk product deliveries weighing up to 50 pounds, cases usually lifted from floor and stacked onto shelves up to 72" high.
  • Carrying: Large cans (3 lbs, 7 oz), occasionally pizza sauce (30 lbs), trays of pizza dough (approx. 12 lbs per tray) over short distances.
  • Pushing: To move trays on dollies (approx. 24"-30" stack requiring up to 7.5 lbs of force).
  • Climbing: Infrequently navigate stairs or climb a ladder.
  • Stooping/Bending: Forward bending at the waist at the pizza assembly station, front counter, and when stocking ingredients.
  • Crouching/Squatting: Performed occasionally to stock shelves and to clean low areas.
  • Reaching: Performed continuously; up, down and forward.
  • Hand Tasks: Eye-hand coordination is essential; use of hands is continuous during the day. Frequently activities require use of one or both hands. Shaping pizza dough requires frequent and forceful use of forearms and wrists.

  • Work in in-store temperatures ranging from 36 degrees in cooler to 90 degrees and above in some work areas.
  • Handle sudden changes in temperature in work area and while outside.
  • Work with food odors, cornmeal dust, and in cramped quarters including the walk-in cooler.
  • Work with hot surfaces/tools from oven up to 500 degrees or higher.
  • Work with sharp edges and moving mechanical parts.
  • Direct activities, perform repetitive tasks, work alone and with others, work under stress, meet strict quality control standards, deal with people, analyze and compile data, make judgments and decisions.
  • Unload bulk product deliveries using a hand truck, with cases weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Carry large cans (3 lbs, 7 oz) and occasionally pizza sauce (30 lbs).
  • Carry trays of pizza dough (approx. 12 lbs per tray) three at a time over short distances.
  • Push trays on dollies (approx. 24"-30" stack requiring up to 7.5 lbs of force).
  • Navigate stairs or climb a ladder infrequently.
  • Perform forward bending at the waist at the pizza assembly station, front counter, and when stocking ingredients.
  • Crouch/squat occasionally to stock shelves and clean low areas.
