About The Position

Sunbelt Rentals is seeking an Assistant Manager to join their team. This role involves assisting the Profit Center Manager in applying company policies and maximizing the profitability and efficiency of the Profit Center. Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Valid Driver's license.
  • 1-2 years of Rental Industry experience or a Business Management degree.
  • Bending, squatting, crouching, reaching, lifting 50 pounds or more, and working indoors/outdoors when required by the job.

Responsibilities

  • In charge of Profit Center in the absence of the Profit Center Manager.
  • Assess daily the need for purchasing equipment through feedback from salesman, CSRs, customer feedback, vendor representatives and marketing department product managers.
  • Assess and modify (if needed) weekly sales plans and ensure that they are carried out appropriately.
  • Ensure on-going compliance with all statutory DOT and safety requirements.
  • Perform dispatching duties (if needed).
  • Inspect Profit Center yard daily.
  • Ensure OSRs and CSRs are aware of slow moving equipment.
  • Ensure that Shop Foreman is aware of all equipment not available for rent.
  • Ensure that Profit Center Yard, facility and staff are presentable.
  • Various reporting, including, but not limited to: daily contract reports/AP on hold/accrual reports/asset disposal report.
  • Ensure team is meeting goals, complying with company standards through daily management.
  • Perform other duties assigned by the PCM.
