About The Position
Goodwill Industries of Southwest Florida is seeking an Assistant Manager for their Egrets Crossing store. This is a full-time position based in Naples, FL. The Assistant Manager will work under the general guidance of the Store Manager and is responsible for achieving revenue, expense, and profit objectives, training staff on production goals, merchandise standards, customer service, and ensuring adherence to company policies. The role requires strong business acumen, interpersonal skills, and leadership to meet store performance standards. The position may involve working long hours, weekends, evenings, and holidays.
Requirements
- High school diploma or the equivalent required.
- Two years of retail sales experience required.
- One year of experience in a management/supervisory capacity required.
- Ability to learn how to correctly use all point of sale and donation systems, office computer and telephone.
- Skills to work in stressful conditions and use good judgment, patience and understand.
- Follow oral and written instructions.
- Familiarity with business-related mathematics.
- Supervise and train staff in production, merchandising, checkout and customer service.
- Able to stand for long periods of time.

Responsibilities
- Achieve revenue, expense, and profit objectives as outlined in the store's budget.
- Train staff to successfully comply with all production goals, merchandise standards, customer service expectations, and mission integration.
- Ensure full adherence to all company policies and procedures.
- Perform and assist with primary duties under the general guidance of the Store Manager.
- Bend, stoop, reach, and twist.
- Lift, push, pull, and move items up to 40 pounds.
- Stand for long periods of time.
- Occasionally work outdoors where temperatures and climate can fluctuate.
