About The Position

Valvoline Instant Oil Change is currently looking for Assistant Managers. The starting pay is $20.00 per hour, with an increase to $21.00 per hour for those who possess a NY State Inspectors license. Under the direction of a Service Center Manager (SCM), an Assistant Manager (AM) assists in various aspects of customer care, facility maintenance, and merchandising activities. The AM ensures equipment is in proper working order and housekeeping standards are met, and follows all policies and procedures related to point of sale (POS) transactions, inventory integrity, reverse logistics, cash, credit, checks, refunds, and return policies. The AM works with the management team to address customer service issues, guest complaints, and business opportunities. They drive sales goals for the service center operation through personal engagement with guests and by observing and coaching fellow team members on their customer interactions. The AM assists in monitoring productivity, workflow, and procedures with an emphasis on efficiency, thoroughness, and safety in the service center. They effectively communicate with all team members, management, and customers. In the absence of any management, the AM will act as the primary supervisor for the service center, observing and coordinating operational activities. The AM is a key holder responsible for basic and detailed opening and closing responsibilities. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

  • Previous management experience a must
  • Must possess a NY State Inspectors license to earn $21.00 per hour.
