About The Position

The Assistant Manager supports the Store Manager with day-to-day convenience store operations and may serve as acting manager when the Store Manager is off. The role combines customer service and register duties with team leadership, inventory and merchandising, scheduling, cash handling, and store upkeep. Candidates need open availability, including weekends and holidays, and should expect to work primarily second or third shifts. The position includes weekly pay, monthly bonus potential, paid time off, insurance coverage, a 401(k), career development opportunities, and a $1,000 sign-on bonus paid after six months in the position.

Requirements

• Open availability, including weekends and holidays; primarily second- or third-shift availability is expected.
• Valid driver’s license, access to a personal vehicle, and proof of insurance to complete bank deposits.
• Comfort with cleaning restrooms, taking out trash, and maintaining outside areas such as fuel pumps.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Proficient in English and able to perform basic math.
• Willingness to learn.
• Must have or be able to obtain a Food Safety Certification.

Responsibilities

• Support the Store Manager in all aspects of day-to-day operations.
• Operate the register and assist customers promptly, accurately, and courteously.
• Coach and motivate team members to upsell products and promotions.
• Help hire, train, and lead a team focused on customer service and store success.
• Act as manager when the Store Manager is off.
• Handle inventory, ordering, and merchandising to keep the store stocked.
• Maintain a clean and welcoming store, including restrooms, trash areas, and fuel pumps.
• Create and manage team schedules to ensure full coverage.
• Handle daily cash, make deposits, and oversee store financials.
• Provide feedback and leadership to motivate the team.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
