About The Position

The Assistant Manager is responsible for overseeing daily restaurant operations, ensuring adequate staffing levels, and delivering exceptional guest service that meets or exceeds brand standards. This role manages food and beverage quality, health and safety compliance, cash handling procedures, inventory control, and communication between front-of-house, kitchen, bar, and other departments. The Assistant Manager monitors operational efficiency, maintains cleanliness and safety standards, controls costs, manages POS updates, supports new menu implementations, and addresses guest needs, including special requests and large-party reservations. They are also expected to uphold Laguna Development Corporation’s core values, model professionalism, build strong guest relationships, and contribute to a positive team-oriented environment. The position includes significant leadership responsibilities, such as hiring, training, scheduling, coaching, evaluating, disciplining, and motivating employees while fostering teamwork and employee morale.

Requirements

  • At least two years of relevant leadership experience
  • Basic understanding of food and beverage operations
  • Proficiency with computer systems
  • Proficiency with POS platforms
  • Proficiency with restaurant equipment
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Strong organizational skills

  • Strong time-management skills
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Ability to work weekends and holidays
  • At least 21 years old
  • Possession of a valid driver’s license
  • Ability to pass pre-employment screening
  • Ability to obtain ServSafe Manager Certification within 30 days of hire
  • Ability to obtain Alcohol Certification within 30 days of hire
