About The Position

This role involves operating equipment, stocking ingredients, preparing products, taking phone orders, inventory management, and cleaning. The Assistant Manager will also be responsible for delivering products to customers, which requires a valid driver's license, access to an insured vehicle, and the ability to pass a background check. Training will be provided on the job. The position requires strong communication skills for interacting with customers and coworkers, as well as the ability to train and lead others. Essential functions include accurate mathematical calculations, making change, verbal and written communication, motor coordination, computer/touch screen use, cost control maintenance, and navigational skills for deliveries. The work environment includes varying temperatures, potential exposure to fumes and dust, and cramped quarters. Sensory requirements include talking and hearing on the phone, and near/mid-range vision. Temperaments include the ability to direct activities, perform repetitive tasks, work with others, work under stress, meet quality standards, deal with people, analyze data, and make decisions. Physical demands include prolonged standing, walking, lifting up to 50 pounds, carrying, driving, pushing, climbing stairs, stooping/bending, crouching/squatting, and continuous hand use with eye-hand coordination.

Requirements

  • Valid driver’s license with safe driving record meeting company standards.
  • Access to insured vehicle which can be used for delivery.
  • Must pass a background check.
  • Have open availability.
  • Ability to comprehend and give correct written instructions.
  • Ability to communicate verbally with customers and co-workers to process orders both over the phone and in person.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately and quickly (may use calculator).
  • Must be able to make correct monetary change.
  • Verbal, writing, and telephone skills to take and process orders.
  • Motor coordination between eyes and hands/fingers to rapidly and accurately make precise movements with speed.
  • Ability to enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.
  • Navigational skills to read a map, locate addresses within designated delivery area.
  • Must navigate adverse terrain including multi-story buildings, private homes and other delivery sites while carrying product.

Responsibilities

  • Operate all equipment.
