About The Position

This role involves a variety of tasks including operating equipment, stocking ingredients, preparing products, taking phone orders, inventory management, and cleaning. Team members are expected to communicate effectively with customers and coworkers, possess strong math skills for order processing and change-making, and have good eye-hand coordination for rapid and accurate movements. The position requires the ability to navigate using maps, locate addresses, and travel through various terrains, including multi-story buildings, while carrying product. Work conditions include exposure to varying weather, in-store temperature fluctuations, food odors, cornmeal dust, cramped spaces, hot surfaces, sharp edges, and moving mechanical parts. Essential skills include talking, hearing, near and mid-range vision, depth perception, differentiating hot/cold surfaces, far vision, and night vision for driving. Temperaments required include the ability to direct activities, perform repetitive tasks, work alone and with others, work under stress, meet quality standards, deal with people, analyze data, and make judgments and decisions. Physical requirements include standing for extended periods, walking for deliveries, lifting up to 50 pounds, carrying items, pushing/pulling dollies, and occasional climbing, stooping, bending, crouching, squatting, and reaching.

Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age.
  • Must have a valid driver's license with a safe driving record meeting company standards.
  • Must have access to an insured vehicle which can be used for delivery.
  • Possess navigational skills to read a map, locate addresses within designated delivery area.
  • Must be able to navigate adverse terrain including multi-story buildings.
  • Ability to comprehend and give correct written instructions.
  • Ability to communicate verbally with customers and co-workers to process orders both over the phone and in person.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately and quickly (may use calculator).
  • Must be able to make correct monetary change.
  • Verbal, writing, and telephone skills to take and process orders.
  • Motor coordination between eyes and hands/fingers to rapidly and accurately make precise movements with speed.
  • Ability to enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.
  • Standing for most tasks.
  • Walking for short distances for short durations.
  • Lifting bulk product deliveries (up to 50 pounds).
  • Carrying large cans (3 lbs, 7 oz), pizza sauce (30 lbs), trays of pizza dough (approx. 12 lbs each).
  • Pushing to move trays on dollies (up to 7.5 pounds of force).
  • Occasional climbing (stairs or ladder).
  • Forward bending at the waist.
  • Occasional crouching/squatting.
  • Continuous reaching (up, down, and forward).
  • Eye-hand coordination is essential.
  • Use of hands is continuous during the day.
  • Frequent and/or forceful use of forearms and wrists for shaping pizza dough.
  • Manipulate a pizza peel.
  • Frequent and/or forceful pinching for assembling cardboard pizza boxes.
  • Grasp cans, phone, pizza cutter, pizza peel, and pizza boxes.

Nice To Haves

  • Navigational skills to read a map, locate addresses within designated delivery area and must be able to navigate adverse terrain including multi-story buildings.

Responsibilities

  • Operate all equipment.
  • Stock ingredients from delivery area to storage, work area, walk-in cooler.
  • Prepare product.

  • Clean equipment and facility approximately daily.
  • Deliver pizzas within a designated delivery area.
  • Deliver flyers and door hangers.
