Assist store manager in managing retail store effectively to achieve sales goals and manage expense budget. This role involves direct supervision of employees and volunteers in the absence of the Store Manager, carrying out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems; opening and closing of store; and daily manager on duty tasks in the absence of the store manager. The position requires embracing an empowerment and continuous improvement culture, offering suggestions, and making decisions that positively impact the store and business growth. It also involves assisting the store manager with equal opportunity employment efforts, preventing harassment, and conducting effective store meetings. The role demands a willingness and ability to work as a team member and independently, with the ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Compliance with all Agency policies, procedures, and safety standards, including safety training and meeting regulatory standards, is essential. Other duties as assigned.
