The Assistant Manager is an hourly employee whose primary function is the operation and supervision of a theatre and its employees, and to act as a representative to Regal in a way that is consistent with our mission statement and policies. This role involves upholding and administering all theatre policies, training, developing, coaching, and supervising non-management employees, and performing all staff positions as required. The Assistant Manager will operate all projection and audio-visual equipment, including film handling and maintenance, and must have a working knowledge of all systems within the facility in Booth and Projection technology. They will ensure required alcohol certifications are current where applicable, monitor risk management concerning employee and patron safety, loss prevention, and emergency situations. Responsibilities also include ensuring guest satisfaction, managing daily financial transactions (cash, credit cards, coupons, etc.), adhering to the dress code, and completing the management certification program. The role involves interviewing, hiring, scheduling, coaching, counseling, suspending, and, with oversight and HR consultation, terminating employees. Administering HR paperwork, controlling costs (operating expenses, purchasing, inventory), and supervising theatre maintenance are also key duties. Marketing and promotions of feature film engagements, scheduling show times, and delivering them to appropriate channels are required. Additionally, employees must read and understand training materials on topics like sexual harassment and discrimination. Additional duties may be assigned by the General Manager or other senior managers.
