About The Position

This role is expected to be approximately 24 hours/week and split between two properties in the area (Atlanta's Best and Ellenwood's Best). The Assistant Manager, also known as Client Happiness Hero & Master of Multitasking, will assist customers with renting units in-person, via phone, and through other advertising/marketing opportunities, enhancing sales through rentals, insurance, and moving supplies. The role involves providing excellent customer service by identifying storage needs and offering solutions, guiding new customers through rental processes, and resolving issues professionally and positively. Responsibilities also include maintaining daily cleanliness and organization of the office, restrooms, grounds, and vacant units, keeping well-organized records, and performing minor maintenance tasks and regular property inspections. The position requires shopping local competitors in-person and online, reporting gathered information, and performing additional marketing functions. The Assistant Manager will monitor rates, specials, and revenue-related factors, and perform required daily administrative tasks including handling cash, balancing receipts, pursuing collections, posting payments, processing daily bank deposits, and completing auctions according to policy and laws.

Requirements

  • High school diploma/GED required
  • At least one year of property management experience preferred
  • A background screening will be conducted at time of hire.
  • For positions that involve driving, a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are required

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in sales or retail environment preferred
  • Experience in fast-paced, customer service-related environment preferred
