About The Position

Club Pilates is a boutique fitness studio looking for an Assistant Manager to partner with the General Manager in running the full studio operation. This is a working manager role where you will be on the floor developing your team, building community relationships, and ensuring the studio is a place members love. The role involves owning the sales floor, developing the Sales Associate team, driving community presence, and managing day-to-day operations. Success in this role comes from a combination of sales performance and the ability to mentor others. Club Pilates was founded in San Diego in 2007 and has become the nation's largest Pilates brand, delivering millions of workouts annually. They focus on Joseph Pilates' original Reformer-based method, modernized for group practice with state-of-the-art equipment, making world-class training accessible.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of fitness, sales, or relevant experience.
  • Proven track record as a top performer in a sales or service environment.
  • Experience managing, supervising, or training others (formally or informally).
  • Clear and professional communication skills (in person, phone, and writing).
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
  • Genuine passion for fitness and wellness.
  • Valid driver's license, proof of insurance, and access to reliable transportation.

Nice To Haves

  • Pilates experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop the Sales Associate team, including hiring, onboarding, coaching, and holding them to a high standard.
  • Own the studio's four revenue streams (memberships, retail, private training, and teacher training) and actively work to grow them.
  • Drive the sales process from lead generation through close, including grassroots outreach, community events, health fairs, local business partnerships, and neighborhood activations.
  • Manage the staff schedule and ensure the floor is covered and running smoothly at all times.
  • Maintain ClubReady proficiency, including pulling revenue and attendance reports, managing member accounts, tracking lead pipeline activity, and collecting outstanding dues.
  • Coordinate with vendors to keep retail and studio products stocked with accurate inventory.
  • Ensure the studio stays clean, organized, and fully stocked with necessary supplies.
  • Enforce Club Pilates policies and procedures consistently and professionally.
  • Review instructor evaluations and escalate or act on findings in partnership with the GM.
  • Make independent decisions on high-level customer service situations.
