About The Position

Classic Cinemas Sandwich XQ is looking for a motivated, people-first Assistant Manager to help lead our team, create unforgettable guest experiences, and keep things running smoothly behind the scenes. We are looking for candidates who excel at organizing, planning and maintaining in-house operations of our beautiful seven screen theatre as we entertain the community (while staying profitable!). The purpose of this role is to organize, plan and control in-house operations of the theatre and entertain the community at a profit to Classic Cinemas.

Basic math skills required
Mechanical aptitude
Ability to effectively deal with people

Nice To Haves

Management experience preferred
Computer and projector experience helpful
Effective verbal and written communication
High school or equivalent (Preferred)
Supervising experience: 1 year (Preferred)
Management: 1 year (Preferred)
Customer relationship management: 3 years (Preferred)
Willingness to travel: 25% (Preferred)

Responsibilities

Prepare / maintain a weekly employee schedule.
Operate within this schedule to realize satisfactory performance and profit.
Take weekly inventory of concession items and operating supplies.
Perform basic repairs, report and write work orders for items beyond your ability.
Enter and receive information through the computer.
Interact with the public to promote and maintain patronage of the theatre, greet guests.
Ensure end-of-month paperwork is completed and turned into the office on time.
Screen and interview applicants.
Provide on-the-job training for employees.
Evaluate employee’s performance.
Verify payroll, bank deposits, receipts and disbursements and make daily deposits.
Check maintenance and housekeeping.
Assure quality and profitability of concession counter.
Supervise staff on site.
Upload and view movies.
Maintain clean projectors and booths.
