About The Position
This role involves operating equipment, stocking ingredients, preparing products, taking phone orders, conducting inventory, and cleaning. The position requires strong communication skills for interacting with customers and coworkers, both verbally and in writing. Essential functions include accurate mathematical calculations, making change, and using a computer keyboard or touch screen for order entry. The work environment can involve varying temperatures, exposure to food odors and dust, and working in cramped spaces. Physical demands include prolonged standing, walking, lifting items up to 60 pounds, carrying, pushing, occasional climbing, stooping, bending, crouching, and reaching. Hand tasks require continuous use of hands and wrists, including forceful pinching for box assembly and grasping various tools and products. Additionally, the role may involve product delivery by car, requiring a valid driver's license, a safe driving record, an insured vehicle, navigational skills, and the ability to carry products while walking and climbing stairs. Delivery personnel will be exposed to varying weather conditions and require far and night vision for driving.
Requirements
- Ability to comprehend and give correct written instructions
- Ability to communicate verbally with customers and co-workers to process orders both over the phone and in person
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately and quickly (may use calculator)
- Must be able to make correct monetary change
- Verbal, writing, and telephone skills to take and process orders
- Motor coordination between wywe and hands/fingers to rapidly and accurately make presice movements with speed
- Ability to enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen
- Valid Driver License with safe driving recor meeting company standards
- Access to insured vehicle which can be used for delivery
- Navigational skills to read a map, locate addresses within designated delivery area
- Must navigate adverse terrain including multy-story buildings, private homes, and other delivery sites while carrying product
Responsibilities
- Operate all equipment
- Stock ingredients from delivery area storage, work area, walk-in cooler
- Prepare product
- Receive and process telephone orders
- Take inventory and complete associated paperwork
- Clean equipment and facility approximately daily
- Deliver product by car and then to door of customer
- Deliver flyers and doorhangers or any marketing materials
