The Assistant Manager is an hourly employee whose primary function is the operation and supervision of a theatre and its employees, and to act as a representative to Regal in a way that is consistent with our mission statement and policies. This role involves upholding and administering all theatre policies, training, developing, coaching, and supervising non-management employees, and performing all staff positions as required. The Assistant Manager will operate all projection and audio-visual equipment, including hardware and software, and handle film setup, breakdown, and maintenance. A working knowledge of all systems within the facility, including booth and projection technology, maintenance, programming, TMS operation, and related projection skills is essential. Ensuring required alcohol certification and training are current is also a responsibility. The role includes monitoring risk management concerning employee and patron safety, loss prevention, emergency situations, and accident handling. Ensuring guest satisfaction, and managing daily financial reconciliation, including cash, credit cards, coupons, gift cards, checks, and other payment methods, are key duties. Compliance with the company's dress code and completion of the management certification program are required. The Assistant Manager will be involved in interviewing, hiring, scheduling, coaching, counseling, suspending, and, with oversight and consultation, terminating employees. Administering applicable paperwork and upholding Human Resources policies are also part of the role. Cost control, including direct operating expenses, purchasing and ordering concession and café stock, and inventory management are crucial. Supervising theatre maintenance, performing minor repairs, and coordinating major maintenance concerns are also responsibilities. Marketing and promotions of feature film engagements, scheduling movie show times, and ensuring timely delivery of show times to all channels are required. Additionally, the Assistant Manager must read and understand training materials on topics such as sexual harassment and discrimination. Further duties may be assigned by the General Manager or other senior management.
