About The Position

Oil Changers is seeking an Assistant Manager for their lube shop to oversee daily operations and lead their team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for cars, experience in customer service, and team leadership. Oil Changers offers comprehensive training and opportunities for internal promotion.

Requirements

  • Ability to read and write English.
  • Good technical knowledge.
  • Good math skills.
  • Ability to reach overhead to a height of four feet.
  • Comfortable with constant bending, stretching, and stair use.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers and co-workers.
  • Ability to respond to communication calls from co-workers.
  • Mobility is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous supervisory experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Manager in providing efficient and quality service to customers, or provide service in the Manager's absence.
  • Open and Close the Station on time.
  • Monitor workflow to ensure vehicles are serviced within specified time limits.
  • Provide daily supervision and training to Lube Technicians, including coaching, counseling, corrective action, and performance evaluation.
  • Monitor staffing levels and adjust accordingly.
  • Meet sales goals.
  • Complete daily, weekly, and monthly paperwork.
  • Provide service to customer vehicles, including checking and changing fluids and filters, airing tires, and performing specialized services like transmission, differential, and radiator services.
  • Input customer and maintenance information into computers.
  • Explain services to customers and accept payment for services.
  • Maintain proper cash controls, including following check acceptance policy, correct preparation and making of deposits, and cash drawer maintenance.
  • Provide prompt and courteous customer service, answer questions, and resolve customer problems and complaints.
  • Observe and comply with safety rules and regulations.
  • Perform related duties as assigned.
