About The Position

Assistant Managers at Helzberg Diamonds use strong sales knowledge and training ability to help the retail store achieve its sales goals. They participate in directing the store’s daily retail operations while progressing through company training programs in preparation for a Store Manager position. The role includes generating personal sales, supporting team sales efforts, developing associates’ selling skills, responding to difficult associate or customer interactions when the Store Manager is absent, delivering outstanding customer service, and assisting with recruiting top-performing associates.

Requirements

• One to three years of experience.
• High school education.
• Proven history of selling in a commission environment.
• Ability to supervise others to achieve results.
• Superior communication skills.
• Flexibility to work with a variety of personalities.
• One to three years of jewelry retail experience.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or retail management, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to relocate.

Responsibilities

• Generate sales to exceed personal sales goals.
• Work as part of a team during sales presentations to address customer objections and close additional sales.
• Develop team members’ selling skills to help achieve store goals.
• Provide the first response to difficult associate and/or customer interactions in the Store Manager’s absence.
• Provide outstanding customer service to every Helzberg Diamonds guest.
• Assist the Store Manager in recruiting top-performing associates.
• Participate in directing the daily retail operations of the store.
• Progress through company training programs in preparation for a Store Manager position.
